When echoes explode into drums, stop;
lower your eyes and unravel a yarn. Look,
you’re a gleaming galjoen, the hum in an uhadi bow;
life’s a song. Glide on dunes. Let no dust storms blind you now.

Lower your eyes and unravel a yarn, look,
be a springbok leaping over a protea bloom.
Life’s a song, glide on dunes; let no dust storms blind you now,
free your qualms on a blue crane wing instead. A vow.

Be a springbok leaping over a protea bloom,
drums echo in song, dust becomes stars, tales feed the soul.
Free your qualms on a blue crane wing instead, avow:
when echoes explode into drums, STOP.
